{"id":294,"count":0,"description":"The Zaesen tactile guidance system was developed to facilitate safe navigation for people with temporary visual impairment, low vision, or blindness. According to a 2008 WHO study, an estimated 253 million people worldwide have some form of visual impairment, of whom 36 million are completely blind and the rest have moderate to severe visual impairment. This means that 3.75% of the world\u2019s population suffers from low vision or total blindness. The prevalence increases with age, but many people will experience at least one episode of temporary vision loss during their lifetime (such as poor prescription, mild eye disorders, or lack of light). Zaesen\u2019s tactile paving system is installed on the pavement to serve as a warning of hazards, such as obstacles, the end of protected areas like sidewalks or crosswalks, changes in elevation, or the presence of stairs, among others. A user walking on a standard sidewalk perceives the tactile raised surface and is able to identify these hazards. This system enables the creation of accessible and safe pathways and, thanks to its availability in various heights, complies with regulations in different countries.","link":"https:\/\/www.zaesen.com\/en\/product-category\/podotactile-system\/","name":"Podotactile system","slug":"podotactile-system","taxonomy":"product_cat","parent":0,"meta":[],"menu_order":24,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.zaesen.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_cat\/294","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.zaesen.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_cat"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.zaesen.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/taxonomies\/product_cat"}],"wp:post_type":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.zaesen.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product?product_cat=294"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
